Introduction

We have been overwhelmed with the support that has been available for us as we have looked to support our community and beyond, during this difficult year of the Pandemic. Without you, all our funders, those who have donated, and those who have given out of the goodness of their heart, we would not have survived. Hopefully, we have mentioned everybody who has supported us, but if we have missed you and you would like to be acknowledged, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Funding through grant awards

Various funding bodies have supported the Cafe food bank and other projects during the Pandemic: The Community Foundation, Big Lottery, Steve Morgan, and Moondance Foundations, Rotary Club, AVOW, and Tesco bags for help, who have enabled us to keep going so that the community is supported.

Our local and wider community

We are very grateful for the many ways that many local businesses in the area and Wrexham, as well as national companies, have donated. Rhos Community Council has contributed to the survival of our cafe during closure and enabled us to establish the food bank project and related activities. They have been a staunch supporter of the cafe since its beginning.

All of the financial and practical donations have provided much-needed essentials for the cafe is able to continue providing relief and support to the local communities.

Thank you to:

  • Cefn Mawr Church has graciously allowed the use of their schoolroom to host our foodbank project.
  • Rotary Club and Jane Welby.
  • Fare Share.
  • Co-op.
  • The many local businesses who have kindly donated.
  • Individuals who have generously donated throughout the pandemic and who continue to do so.

We thank you all, your support means so much.
